I am looking at replacing my Brainwavz M2, and i was wondering after doing a bit of research (i looked at reviews here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-272-iems-compared-ultrasone-iq-added-02-17-13 ) on which IEM some of you would recommend, I've heard that the shure line at any of there price points is always a good option to go. My price range is up to $100 maybe a little over.

My reservation comes ( it might be a silly one) in the fact that from the review i read the se215-k seem to having a high initial defect rate in early batches is this still something to be concerned about ?

The two I've currently decided on getting would be either the (2C41 <- reference number for the review post i linked) shure se215-k, or the (2C51 <- reference number for the review post i linked) VSonic GR06

According to that review the VSonic GR06 scores higher across the board, have any of you had the chance to use them, and do you agree, or do you still stand with the shure se215-k as the victor here? I'm mostly looking for sound quality.

also will i notice a difference in sound quality from the Brainwavz M2, to either of these IEMs (mostly 320kps files no lower, hardly any flacs) ?

The genres I enjoy are: metal

chip tune

some rap, and some dubstep

rock

whatever genre you want to toss tenacious D into.

and some alternative-ish bands like fair to midlands

and just plain and simple beats by the likes of Ratatat, and TNGHT.

Thank you for your time.

Future Sonics Atrio MG7

Use coupon CostProg50% at Atrio.me to bring them to $110 shipped. I've personally abandoned more expensive headphones in favor of these, and they are much better than the SE215 which I also own. Their only downside is the somewhat narrow soundstage. They are reviewed in jokers IEM megathread you linked.

oh wow thanks for that, the coupon will most likely make this my main choice, solid reviews across the board, and with the coupon with in my price range.

Hey man, I was curious about your experience with these. I really actually like the sound of the M2's and was looking for something similar. How would you compare these two? Thanks, I really appreciate it.
