I have tried the RE5 benchmark test..

i tried the variable test

1920x1080 dx 10, all high, 8x aa, vsync on..

so there are three parts

i get about avg of 35fps@ 1st part

the next part

13 FPS! (i even tried running the bench twice!)

and the last part

~33 FPS

any of u guys experience those dips with your 4870 512mbs? or 4870s? or 4800s?

thanks in adv!

It's a known issue with the 48XX cards. ATI and Capcom are working on a fix.
Happens to me also.

I can confirm that it is an issue with ATI cards. It will have a fix long before release date.

It's the amount of memory you have. Scores start to go down over 1600 resolution with 512 mb cards. And RE5/dx10 is a beast.

hmm i think it is available for download.. i kinda googled it for about 5-10 mins before finding it.. around 500mb..

so i tried to bench again this time on a windows XP in DX9

1920x1200, 8xaa, all high, motion blur on, v sync on

52.3! average FPS

no more weird ~13FPS for the second part (shows as 3rd area in the benchmark results)..

so its just the DX10 that has issues?

(9.6 catalyst ver fox XP)
