QPAD UC 50
http://imgur.com/qL5JnHp
QPAD just came up with a new version of their UC pads. This time around instead of the kidney shape they used to have they decided to go with the trustworthy rectangular shape. The mousepad comes in 5 sizes, the smalles being the UC 29 at 290 x 240 mm and the largest being the UC 90 at 900 x 420 mm.
I will be reviewing the UC 50 which is the second biggest version at 500 x 420 mm, which is slightly bigger than the Steelseries Qck+ and even the Puretrak Talent, while being 4 mm thick.

A Qck+ on top of the UC 50, you can see it's both taller and wider.

Material:
The surface consists of a heat treated fabric on a base of natural rubber. On the bottom there is a layer of cross weave natural rubber, very similar to what you find under the Qck.

Build quality:
The build quality seems standard to me, which is also fine by me. I don't expect stiched edges, I don't even like them at all. The rubber base looks very homogenic, I couldn't feel any bumps in it, so not like those spots on the Talent. I don't really know what else to say about a pads build quality, if you have any questions: shoot.
Speed + Control:
I would rate as very similar to the Qck while the static friction is quite a bit less on the UC. At least compared to my old Qck that has been in the wash already. I will report back here when the pad is a bit older and I can tell how it ages. I guess someone with higher expectations towards a mouse surface should test this further, because I'm fine as long as the pad is soft and my mouse tracks well on it.
Speaking of tracking:

I tested the mice I had right at hand with the UC V2, here are some of the results.
Logitech G502, 800 cpi, 1000 Hz

Steelseries Rival, 800 cpi, 1000 Hz

Because of the size I was actually able to make the Rival malfunction for the first time for me, so PCS seems to be around 5.5 m/s on the UC V2

Zowie FK 450 cpi, 500 Hz

Zowie FK 2307 cpi, 500 Hz

Razer Deathadder 3G, 1800 cpi, 500 Hz

More tests here.
I also did a jitter test with my old DA 3G (which is prone to jitter on bad surfaces!)
Result of the UC V2

This looks fine for the DA actually, I had much worse results on the old UC. None of the other mice had any form of jitter on the UC V2.
Conclusion
The UC 50 is probably the biggest all black surface right now (bar the UC 90 which is too big for my desk...) which makes it very attractive to me. The feeling is good, so it will probably replace both my Talent and the Qck Heavy.
