Hey guys!

My parents were cleaning out their house today. They called me over to get some of my old junk out of the attic, and I found parts of a short lived computer I built in 2007 (Ultra PSU blew on me, and the Pentium D 925 constantly overheated). Inside the box was a XFX 680i LT and EVGA 8800 GTS 320. I'd like to rebuild the system as it was, probably just for LAN gaming but moreso for sentimental value (it was the first time I bought every component individually and built an entire PC).

1. I need fans for both the northbridge and southbridge, what could I use?
2. I don't want to spend more than $40-80 on a CPU, what should I get?
3. The 8800GTS needs a fan, again, any ideas?

1. the NB uses a 40mm fan so you could use this one:

i'm not sure about the SB fan except that it's smaller. it looks like 30mm, but you could just measure it.

2. you could easily get a E8400 or Q6600 for under $80 in the marketplace. The other day i saw a Q6600 for $75 shipped

Q6600 for the CPU. You should be able to get a used one for under $80. Just do some searching and waiting

And IMO instead of replacing the fan, just replace the cooler with something cheap like this....
