Hi all, when i right click on files and all.
It takes really long to load all the properties, open with, copy, paste etc and all those options.
I was just wonder how would i take off options when i right click on something.
There are like 20! of them. So i guess thats why its taking so long. Like 20 sec to load sometimes when i right click on something.
And idea how to edit them?
Thanks!

What Windows are you running? With your PC I can't see anything taking long to load, especially the right click menu?
20 secs to right click would annoy me also. I have 12 options, when I right click.... What OS are you using? Windows 3.1 or something?
You sure there's not something else running making your system non-responsive? That's I'd cntrl-alt-delete and look at the processes and see what's taking up your system resources. Ending that process should fix the problem. You want 90 percent or more on the "system idle resources" most of the time.

Either that, or you're using windows XP and don't have enough ram and it's using your hard drive as ram, which makes it slow as christmas. Get more ram and turn off/minimize the size of the paging file.
i have XP 32...hmm more ram you say!!

but it was fine before, just started happening a few days ago.

I have 38 options to choose from when i right click!!!
any idea how to make them less?
Sysstem idle process is taking 95% on idle most of the time.
This site has some good info on XP preocesses. On the left, click on Windows XP Service Pack 2 Services. It will let you know what you need and what you don't. If the services are not listed, just google them to see what they are.

I would like to know how to remove some of those options as well.

Mine has the winrar crap, and burn4free option in there. I really dislike them and want to remove them.
some of the programs can be configured. try there first.
And go over the options... are there any you never EVER use?

You could uninstall the program

Removing items from this menu requires editing the registry....

Finally, if you have that many: a complete re-install of windows isn't too bad an idea
