hey guys,

i don't know what to call it but what i'm looking for is a "room microphone" for example on ps3 it has a headset but that headset docks and you can use it for a "room microphone" so everyone can talk into it clearly instead of having it on your head. does anyone know the official name for a microphone like this, and where can i get one for xbox 360 for lets say less than 20 dollars on ebay.

I don't think there is one. You will probably have to mod one.

There isn't one to purchase retail, just like Life said you'll probably have to mod one. However, if you have a Kinect, it has an option to use the built in mic, that can function like a "room" mic.

Forgot about Kinect, though they're quite pricey. Cheaper to build your own. I think Llama may have a few tutorials or Xbox-scene.
