Yes... it's untethered people! The sources are both the article and the guides!

The iPhone Dev-Team has finally released untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 via Redsn0w and PwnageTool. Except for the iPad 2, this new untethered jailbreak is compatible to work with all devices, including: iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch 3G/4G on the newly released iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Source for PwnageTool [Mac Users]

I already did my 3GS with reds0w without a hitch, so I can confirm it works perfectly

[This is not a support thread, this is just a news thread guys! Happy Jailbreaking ^^]

Quick edit: Unlockers should not touch this, as it breaks ultrasn0w (unintentionally).

EDIT2: 3GS users should not use sn0wbreeze 2.5

It will cause errors and force you re-restore to 4.2.1 or 4.3.1.. or well, anything you have blobs for. Just be careful. iH8sn0w knows about the issue and is working to rectify it

EDIT3: Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 is out and fixed for 3GS's

No what I meant was, that the 3g is horribly slow on iOS 4.x, I'd stick with iOS 3.x for the 3g.

Pretty much everything is fixed when you turn off the indexing, though, so for people stuck with 4.x already, it's a quick fix. Proc just couldn't handle it.

(Settings --> General --> Home Button --> Spotlight, unclick everything)

3 hours late: I downloaded it this morning, so you can get it here for a while (windows version).

Don't know if I should install it however, I'm fine on 4.2.1, the only thing interesting is that Safari's javascript engine is supposed to be faster (or so does Apple say), but then, is it worth reinstalling everything?

Also, how does this jailbreak manage ASLR? Do Mobile Substrate / most programs work correctly?
