One memory chip doesnt get as hot as the rest, I believe this chip to be defective. It IS properly connected.
There is no white case, no power cable/sata cable for dvd drive
dvd drive is in unknown condition, it may or may not read discs.
The heatsinks will be included, with no xclamps, and no bolts/washers
System is overall in rough condition, assume complete system destruction
No power brick, no hard drive, no controllers, nothing.
Whats in the pic is about it.
The system DOES power on, but RRoDs immediatly. I have spent a number of days attempting to fix, and cant. Great for a project for someone, or to learn.
Winner pays shipping to wherever you are. I will ship worldwide at your expense, via paypal please.
Well lets just say, im not the one who paid for it!
I seriously should get rid of that link, because all i have had is good experiences with the microsoft support. They have replaced 5 wired mics, 1 xbox 360, 1 wireless headset, sent me a harddrive migration kit(got a 60gb HDD with jasper), and sent me a new 30gb white zune, and i havent spend 1 penny on shipping or anything!
Swap for new guts only at your local Walmart. Joking.
I seriously almost did that, i had the greatest plan.
1 take off shell, carefully of both the new and old
2 take broken guts, give them bottom of old shell (so AV ports match (old doesnt have HDMI) and give them the top of the new one so the serial number matches the receipt, clean it off, and return!
This plan is flawless!!! Unless you have a broken one with a paper warranty sticker, because i know the silver foil ones are easy to remove (i did and its still perfect), but the paper seem to be superglued and will rip instantly
Hmm.... I may use it as a spare parts. Also, does it come with a fan? How well does the drive work?
Edit: I will have money tomorrow.
No fan, and as the OP says, the drive is in unknown condition. For the sake of simplicity, anyone interested in this freebie should assume that nothing here works, period.

It's also illegal and completely wrong and pathetic. Stop being cheap and looking for ways to rip people off.
