Hey guys

I recently bought a 2006 Alienware Aurora. i was on my way home with it and I got in an accident, and all the plastic on the outside is destroyed. but the metal part of the case is intact. I moved the parts to another case, and I was wondering what some opinions are on me painting the old metal shell completely with the automotive rubberized undercoating stuff. It kinda looks like spray on bed liner for trucks.
It's durable, paintable, and is supposed to dampen sound.
What do you guys think? I already took the case apart and sanded it, so i'm painting it one way or another.
Do you think it would look good? work well?

I might turn this into a full-fledged new build if it looks good.
Thanks

It would definitely put a tough outer coating on the system. As far as how it would look, I really couldn't say. I've only ever used it to actually put a bedliner in a truck and we used roller brushes to make it have a more coarse appearance.

Well, I started doing it last night. it actually looks really nice. What I'm going to do is coat the whole thing, then take regular spray paint and coat the outside black, and the inside green. I think itll look nice and kill conductivity

Glad it worked out for you! Have you finished the build yet? Or are you still assembling/purchasing parts?
