Running an entire system through tunnel?

Hey guys,

Was just curious if this would be possible. Currently I use PuTTY and SocksCap to bypass firewall restrictions, but I'm not sure if these would work.

Basically, I'd be hooking my laptop into a secure network and don't want to have to run SocksCap for every program I start.

Is there a way to basically have the entire OS run through the tunnel?

If not, no big deal, but still.. would be nice.

Thanks!

Yes, it's possible, but I'm completely blanking on the program used to do it.
I know it involves Socks5 proxies... Argh.

My thoughts would be a virtual ethernet card that is directed through a tunnel via PuTTY or SocksCap or something.

Hmm.... lol. Searched every combination of words I could think of on Google, can't figure it out, =/

Edit: I know Hamachi creates a virtual LAN/ethernet card, I wonder if that could be used in any sort of way?
