Hi guys so after 3 months of owning my A10 5800K I have to say that for the money it is a real Nice piece of kit but I'm needing a bit more graphics performance. I have the CPU clocked @ 4.0 Gpu @ 950mhz and my ram is running @1866 and for most of my games it is amazing call of duty world at war runs 80-100 fps world of tanks runs 35-50 fps but I have recently got into playing arma 2 wasteland and dayz and here is my problem I'm only getting Max 30 fps and sometimes drops to around 18 19 20 which is not really smooth enough to play comfortably. Is this game very gpu intensive? And how should I go about better performance ? Will a 6670 help me?

I'm only gaming on a Samsung 19 inch @ 1360x720

I would go with a 7770 as a minimum and then use hybrid xfire to xfire it with your onboard GPU.

Arma 2 is my only problem to be honest all my other games play fine and I'm really happy with the performance from the apu. Could and body suggest some in game settings that may improve my fps as I'm a little unsure to what they all mean? From the looks of out though arma 2 seems to be very demanding

A 6670 would run fine at low settings. Not sure if they can run smooth at high settings.
However, I would suggest add a discrete GPU with APU without hybrid CrossFire.
Hybrid CrossFire?It has very poor scaling in games and often results in serious micro stuttering.

I'm not sure improving your graphics capability is going to help much. You say you're getting 20-30 fps playing Arma 2. But honestly that's not terribly far from what you'd expect to get because Arma 2 is a very CPU-demanding game.

Here's a quick little test. Check what your graphics settings are & play Arma 2 for a bit, preferably doing something repeatable. Note your FPS. Now turn up some of your graphics settings (don't over do it) & do the same thing. Then turn down your graphics settings down to the lowest possible settings & do the same thing again.

If all three tests have about the same performance, your FPS problem comes from the CPU side and getting a better graphics card will help only a little bit, if at all. If the standard test (your current settings) and the lowest-settings test give you the same results, but you also get worse results for the higher-settings test, then the situation is slightly different. You'll probably never get better minimum FPS than you're getting now (still limited on CPU), but getting more graphics power will allow you to get your current performance with higher graphics settings.

But, if you get better FPS using the lowest possible graphics settings than you get with the standard test, then yes, more graphics power will help bring up your minimum FPS levels.

If you're playing DayZ just note that DayZ is badly optimized at the moment, at least from what I have been reading and personally experiencing. Browsing through some of the DayZ forums I've seen people with pretty good hardware experiencing issues that people with lesser hardware were experiencing (More FPS in regular ArmA 2, FPS drop in large cities, etc.). The best option would be tweaking and finding that sweet spot to gain the best performance on your hardware, which I myself am still trying to do. Also performance can greatly reflect the server too.
