I have Gigabyte P55A-UD3 motherboard which supports CrossfireX but no sli.

So i am wondering can i run for example GTX 460 and use 9600GT for PhysX ?

You might be able to use the SLI hack to run SLI on that board. If you just want to run 1 460 and another card for physx you will be fine anyway I believe.

What games are you playing? This is a fair bit of hassle and only 20 titles can actually use GPU-based Physx. Unless a game you are playing is listed here:

http://physxinfo.com/data/vreview.html

then there's no point in using a GPU for Physx. 95% or so of titles that use Physx can only do CPU-based.
