My mate just bought a fx 8350 cpu today and increased his fps in rust to 70 - 80 fps on highest settings !

He is using

FX 8350
GTX 960
8 gig 1333mhz ram
etc.

I have rust running on ultra settings at 40 - 55 fps with these specs:

6700K
380 4G
16 gig 2800mhz gskill

latest driver etc. all installed.

he also gets better fps in ARK and other games with his pc specs

Any clues ?

The patch a week ago destroyed my FPS. I bounce between 30-60 fps. The ground has no texture due to having to run the shader level under 200, otherwise I get around 20fps.

Dev notes said they increased performance with the last update, I saw the complete opposite.

The recent patch killed the performance. I've stopped playing it for now.

Try dealing with the server side issues ahah its a nightmare.

Unity doesn't even allow it more than 2 cores on the Dedicated we have, the multicore is there, but they hide it from devs, only Unity have access to it I believe.
