Hey guys, wondering if anyone has tried mounting a fan on the Rx Vega's open socket on bottom of the card and reduced temps?
Was it worth it? I have a spare fan and I'm thinking of testing this out until I get a 3rd party cooler.
An intake fan feeding cooler air into a blower cooler like that should help a bit yea.
Airflow (in general) and ambient temps will have the highest impact.
Probably not much. The parts that get hot are the GPU package and the VRM array. But if the backplate actually acts as a heatsink for some components then it could help to blow anything on the back.
