Hey guys, wondering if anyone has tried mounting a fan on the Rx Vega's open socket on bottom of the card and reduced temps?
Was it worth it? I have a spare fan and I'm thinking of testing this out until I get a 3rd party cooler.

An intake fan feeding cooler air into a blower cooler like that should help a bit yea.
Airflow (in general) and ambient temps will have the highest impact.

Understood. I was talking about the back side, where the socket is cut out and open on the back-plate, I have a fan blowing directly on that section.

Probably not much. The parts that get hot are the GPU package and the VRM array. But if the backplate actually acts as a heatsink for some components then it could help to blow anything on the back.
