Hey all,

might be giving my Ryzen 5 1600 to a friend which i am going to give him a corsair H60 to go with that, I am going to pick up the 1800X (it is for my Plex server) and i was wondering if the stock cooler from the 1600 would be sufficient for the 1800X at stock speeds?

If 1800x runnig close to 4Ghz it can be not optimal. Probably this system wont pass Prime95, but will work. I belive China clone of Coolermaster 612 cost about 15$ and comes with AM3 brackets.

Yeah no plans to overclock it since its for a 'server', thats why im getting the 1800x over say just the 1700 since i plan on just leaving it at its stock speeds
