Less obviously, for the past few years I would very often end up here through google when searching for a solution to various computer problems.
Pretty much every single time, this place held the solution to my problems, so thanks, I guess!
Basically, I've known about this place for a while.
The reason I've finally decided to join is that earlier this year, when the time came to get a new system, I decided to take the plunge and do my first self-build. It turned out to be quite the amazing experience. I'm now completely addicted to PC hardware, I try to keep up with the latest products and techs and I'm always eager to learn more about my own system.
I've been hanging around the EVGA forums ever since building the system, but when I realized I needed a bigger more generalized place where many different topics could be discussed, this place immediately came to mind.
In the future, I'm planning to look into overclocking my CPU. And should I ever manage to get some more significant cash to invest in the system, I'm really interested in learning how to build a water cooled rig.
