Why is it that every time I'm copying a movie or a large video clip, the copying freezes for a little while and then resumes again? Is that the SandyBridge Intel Insider checking if the movie is legal?

That's more or less windows I'd say. Intel Insider doesn't exactly check your files lol It's for streaming and verifies the stream is secure and legal.

Yeah, I guess it's because of the movies' size. Just thought it could be due to Intel Insider as well

Also keep in mind, if you use a P67 chipset Intel Insider is not even enabled.
