Building my new rig and installing my graphics card 7870 and i see it has two 6-pin connectors for power. Why is this? Do I hook up two sets of 6-pin PCI-E plugs? if not why are there two?

Its needed for extra power for the gpu that cannot be drawn through the pci-e slot. Yes you need them and yes just plug in two pci-e connectors.
