Was just wondering if Sapphire Radeon X1950XT 256MB will fit in 775dual vsta
currently have a Inno3d 6600 LE. On the site it says only the Gecube version is supported?

This mobo has an agp and pci-e slot. So any vid card will work but i would recommend a pci-e card.

The mobo does not decide what card you can use.

That would also depend on your power supply.

And you do realise the X1950XT is an outdated card? The newer Ati drivers won't support the card.

yes the graphics card will work great, i used to have the exact same motherboard as you and card :]

The only trouble i had with that motherboard though is my sata locking up whenever i used a sata drive with it.
yh i know its old but all i want is something better than mine. I can run COD4 all low settings at 15-25 fps with my 6600LE, anyone know what this card will do?
well, depending on the resolution you play on it should do signifigantly better. If you have a little extra money though i would reccoment upgradeing to a better power supplky if you need it and a Radeon Hd 4830
woah the HD 4830 is way too much, im sure the X1950XT is atleast twice as good as the 6600LE and thats good enough for me.

how much are these cards worth anyway? used or new.
Plz someone tell me, i want ot make an offer for the card.
a pci-e 1950xt is worth about $45

So an offer for about 30 pounds is reasonable for a used x1950xt?

Assuming that $45 = 30 pounds, yes.

If that is all you can spend its a decent deal. Keep in mind that the 1950xt would be equal to a midrange card today and the driver support on a newer card will be better. With the next set of drivers ati will stop supporting this series....

the x1950xt is still a pretty decent card. it will destroy the radeon 45x0 and 36x0 cards. If you can get it really cheap like 20 pounds or less id say go for it. Maybe 30 pounds, but that would be the maximum i would bid on it (well maybe like 30.01 or something like that, you get the idea)
Something like this will go for $40USD pretty easily, just to give you an idea.

its more

the 6600LE compares to a 6200 actully, its 4pp, 4rops, 128mb DDR @ 500mhz.
stock clocks should be 350/500 for it, unless its oc'd

The 6600LE was made to fight with the x600 line of card, which also positioned it to fight the 9600Pro/XT cards. Make sense where it falls now?

Now is an x1950XT just 2 times faster than a 9600XT? lol You should see a 400% increase in games, especally 2006 and older. Newer games will choke on it also, but not as fast as they will on a 6600LE

I run a x1950 pro in one of my older rigs. Its a decent card and will work wonderfully on any older game and moderately on games up till around last year. The newest of the new games will choke it pretty hard and if you're planning to go play any of those I'd pick up something better. Also note my card was a special sapphire modified version with 512MB of video ram - this didnt make much a difference with older games but it allowed it to live a bit longer without getting too outdated. You may want to consider picking up a version with some more ram if not a newer card entirely (even if it means dropping down from an XT to a pro... doubling the ram will help a lot more than slightly increasing the processing speed on newer games).

agreed, crysis is why i finally bit the bullet though on upgrading i loved my 7950GT lol. Yes 512mb is important, and dont discount other cards either, look for the old 7900GTX or a 7950GX2 they tend to go rather cheap also, or even the 8800GTS320, HD2900GT or HD2900pro can be found somewhat cheap these days. Which is why I dont get why a 6800GT AGP still sells for 50 bucks
