I recently bought this 4gb version to play at 1080p at max settings. When I installed it, it performed just as advertised. But just for curiosity I hooked it up to my Samsung 4K hdtv. To my surprise, it ran newer games like MEA and Shadow of War at that native resolution pretty well. I'm talking 40-60 fps but at medium settings. This is my first time buying an AMD card since the 2000's. To say I'm very impressed is an understatement. It comes highly recommended.

Polaris are indeed stout chips. You may be bumping up against that 4GB vram limit at 4k though. The 480 and 580 series are memory bandwidth limited. Try overclocking the memory to the range the 8GB cards ship at around 2000mhz. You should see decent gains in framerate.

Thanks for the insight. I do not know anything about overclocking AMD cards. Can you link me to a good beginners guide? Thanks again.
