Thanks for joining me in this new build!

It has been years since I have put together a new case so as my rig is getting tired it's time for a refresh. The plan is to use some of the hardwoods I have lying around for the build and to utilize hand tools as much as possible, especially for the dovetails.

The basic design is as below, there should be room for a 240mm rad, mATX motherboard and a pair of graphics cards. The window is large enough to fit all the parts through and the glass will be removable for installation. I expect installing the loop is going to be particularly painful.

The top and bottom will be removable. I still have to work out how I will manage airflow.

Right now I am trying to figure out what wood I should make the case out of. I am thinking of using Narra for the front and back and making the sides out of Vitex.

I have dry timber in the following species, I am trying to think of the best combination of species to really make the dovetails stand out.
