Okay, long story short, my micro SD adapter broke. I could go out and buy another one, yes I know they're cheap, but my car is in the shop for the next few days, so I am hoping there may be a little clever solution. The little switch mechanism that broke off I assume would block one of the pins or something. Is there a little mod I could do in the meantime to be able to write data to my SD card? Because the stupid little switch broke off, it seems its been locked into read only mode.

A little picture detailing what the pins do for the adapter would be extremely helpful!

I don't think it's going to be easy to fix. For one thing, the whole thing is frickin' tiny. Two, I don't think the switch is connected directly to the pin but rather, to a chip that connects flash ROM to SD pins so it'd be inside the adapter and not possible to fix without breaking the adapter apart.

Get a bus or beg a friend to drive you to a shop for a new one. Walmart has 2GB micro SD with SD adapter for like $7 or $8 (check their cell phone accessory). Just use your micro SD instead of the 2GB SD that comes with the adapter.
