Okay, so my Antec SmartPower2.0 500W power supply died on me this week. The fan had gone out in the back and it was only a matter of time. And Antec wouldn't take it since I got it off of eBay.

I think I decided on my alternative, the SeaSonic M12 SS-600HM ATX12V/ EPS12V 600W Power Supply. On Newegg it costs $174.99 USD, I can get it for about $150-160 on a different site. Here's the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151030

I want to know what you guys think. I was concidering purchasing the OCZ GameXtreme for about $100 after a mail-in rebate but the SeaSonic name and modular cabling is really appealing. I've already read the threads and FAQs about the pros and cons of modular cabling so no need to explain that. So, give me the feedback and any other alternatives you would possibly recommend and I'll let you guys know what I decide on.
To me that looks like a great PSU, lots of power, plenty of amperage on the 3 12v rails, modular, and made by possibly one of the best names in power supplies. This looks like a very nice psu, and should have plenty of power for more future upgrades. I say go for and you wont be let down.

My S12 600W revision two has been dead stable and I have a lot of items drawing power including:

2 overclocked 7900gtx (the s12 isn't even certified for dual 7900GTX!)

5 120mm led fans
2 90mm led fans

e6700 overclocked

25 cm fan

zalman 9500 at full tilt

+ all the other standard goodies

The model you quoted is the next revision of mine, I can't see how you can go wrong with that choice.

I think the SeaSonic M12 has a GREAT track record. I would look at the Enermax Liberty 620W. It is powerful, stable, quiet, and modular. However, some people report failures (just of the PSU, not of it taking any parts out with it). But they have fantastic warranty, and since this product is getting more into the market, I bet they are better at controlling quality by now.

PCP&C is amazing, but I think you'll be happy with that Gomer

I would take a look at the new OCZ 700w, it seems to be dropping in price a bit lately and has 4 12v totalling 40a.

http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...mc_powersupply

This is a refurb clearance item, however it should still be covered by the manufacture as they fixed it. And it also includes a $25MIR so you can have it for a little over $100.

Seasonic also has possibly the best efficiency of any psu ever made. That means lower power bills, less noise, and mine literally blows cold air under heavy load.

Yeah, I have seen the OCZ GameXtreme. I was actually really concidering it. However, my cable management isn't the best. Don't get me wrong, I got some skillz (LOL). That's why I'm leaning toward the SeaSonic with the modular cabling.

^^A lot of companies do it best. My Enermax Liberty 500w is completly silent. I have never heard the PSU going. Typically any PSU with just one 120mm or larger will be quiet enough. Companies like Antec, OCZ, Seasonic, Enermax, FSP, PC&C, Sunbeam (only the NUUO), and a few others I cant remember make decent PSU's that we recommend a lot on here. The PSU is one area to NEVER skimp on and it is what drives your system.
Seriously take a look at this thing. I thought that PCP&C had to be overrated. I found a great deal on my 510W Turbo Cool ($110 shipped) so I snagged it. They are VERY high quality and my volts are rock solid. FSP also makes a killer PSU. I had a Seasonic 330W S12 and I was happy with it.
