I have a few of spare parts, old Dell Monitor, an E8400 and a 500w PSU.
(OS will be Ubuntu Linux)

My 3 year old has surprised me and learned how to use my computer as effectively as any Toddler can. I barely get a chance to use it anymore until he goes to bed.

So I want to make a secondary build that would suit his needs for playing Mickey Mouse and Toy Story Flash games on the internet.

I need some suggestions on the Following:
  • LGA 775 Mobo
  • DDR2 RAM
  • Hard Drive
  • DVD drive
  • PC Case
  • WiFi Card
  • Maybe a Video Card?
REP+ if you can keep the Total under $300 Shipped (Newegg Preferably)

(EDIT: Forgot to mention, I also found the Old DELL Keyboard and Mouse in my attic)
{Also, Will be back to check suggestions in a couple of hours after playing BC2 so take your time =) }

If it's just for the toddler, why not just get an old bitsa from the trading post or similar?
Find the right box with a LGA775 and a low power proc and just swap the E8400 into it.

Thanks for the replies, I looked over your responses, took a few of those , and gave out some rep.

I looked to cut the shipping costs and some of the component prices a bit from Elite's build and came up with the following.

Looks ok?
