I always just start in safe mode and run an antivirus scan. Usually does the trick for me. Somtimes its one of those horrible ones, and you need to do something specific to the virus.

this, although not perfect it should get rid of most viruses you will come across (i've got rid of every one i've come across by doing this)

And I will add that if it cannot remove it, then there is bound to be something online if you google it.
