As you can see in my sig rig that I am currently running a BE 6400. For sometime I have been earger to swap to a quad core.

So tomorrow (Pay day) I will purchase the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CP-236-AM - 940 BE

Now the main concern that I have is selecting the motherboard.

I am most likey going to go with the 'Asus M3A79-T Deluxe AMD 790FX' as the reviews have been great and many 940 owners currently use it.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=5&subcat=808
However, the 'M3A32-MVP Deluxe AMD 790FX' is just a small fraction more in price.

So I am wondering what is the difference if any. The MVP has wireless network support over the 79-T? I currently have my connection setup throught wireless however this is not required as cable is fine it would just make life that little easier with less clutter

Finally do you think the overall choise is good/bad? As im planning to OC I believe these will suit me fine. Any suggestions will be welcome

Thanks, Moynesy

Like Pixie said both of those mobo are good, I am running both of those boards, both ran the Phenom II 940 at 3.9 with M3A32-MVP,able to get 4.1 out of the M3A79-T.....79-T is the newer board also with the SB750... The Wifi really isnt that great on the M3A32-MVP

Thanks for replies people. I believe I will go with the T-79 after reading peoples reviews and ofcourse going from pixie's knowledge. Purchased my 940 yesterday and it should arrive soon but I will have to wait for board as I'm all out of funds. Being a student is s**t

I will have my board in around two-three weeks hopefully.

I used to own an M2N32 SLI Deluxe, but after going DFI this time around, I think I'll stick with them. The BIOS' in these boards are insane. These are by far, some of the most customizable boards in the market right now.

I can only imagine the 790FX will be even better.

If I wasn't an Nvidia fanboi, I'd check this list and see what the people are using in their systems with the best results:

Thats why I was looking at the 79-T as the majority of higher OC's are using this board.
