Sempron running hot

Hey people. Pretty new when it comes to opening up computers and messin about but anyways, noticed my computer been running sluggish and making hdd reading noises for no apparent reason. Did some testing and and reading and whatnot and one thing i came across was speedfan, and according to most of the posts on here it appears my computer is running =very= hot. Ill throw up some pics for an example but yeah. I have a sempron 3000+ overclocked to 2009 MHz from 1800. I have also tried setting back default clockspeed and the temp decreased very little. It says i only have one running fan, which i thought to be bogus. I opened it up and it seems just the processor and psupply fans are running, when theres another case fan and an 'MSI' fan on the mainboard not running. Do you think grabbin another fan or two for the case would be a help or do I need to do something further? THanks!

Thats IDLE?
Yeah completely idle... sick right? I just have about 4 nonintense tabs open, and a readme file.
Oh yeah, does it hurt to keep the side case off?
Clean your fans, if you can, add some fans.

But the important things are:

1.) What is the temp in your Room?
2.) What kind of cooling are you using?
3.) Could you fill out the system specs here

This will help us better analyze your problem and give you appropriate answers as to how you should go about fixing your problem, or if the "problem" is abnormal or not.
i'd look into why--what i'm assuming is the NB--fan isn't spinning.

also check your heatsink. have you moved your computer around lately? it may, though unlikely, have come dislodged.

i would check the heatsink anyway.

thanks to all replies. ive attached my cpuz specs, if you need more, i could let ya know.

ez12a: thanks checked the heatsink, reseated it although it didnt seem loose. the northbridge was correct, it was metal on metal noise when i spun it manually, and some metalish powder was seen around it. i unplugged it all together, im thinking thats where the original noise was coming from. as for the nb fan not working i think it was due to a -physical- problem. though recently my computer has frozen up during heroes of newerth, and even normal usage occasionally. this occurs even after switching vid cards, cleaning my fans, installing another 90mm case fan, and pulling the cmos battery. running out of ideas, lasted a while might just buy a new one.

thanks for the help.
