Ok I've been looking at so many mobo's latley and what is really starting to bother me is that I can't seem to find one that meets my demands as well as the best performance.
maybe sombody here knows what I'm going through and looking for.
Well for starters I'm going with conroe e6600.
not sure on ram yet but likely a couple 1 gigx2 @800mhz dual channel. maybe somthing like this http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...4&Sku=C13-2022
anyhow not sure on video card either but atleast the 512mb.
but heres wher my problem is, I wanted the gigabyte DQ6 mobo but.... only two pci slots. want atleast three or more.
looked at the asus cause I've been reading how well they o'c but I need at least one 9 pin serial port (com port) A questio0n to that...is is there an adaptor for the sata serial to the 9 pin serial?
These are my two big concern right now. This is what's making it so hard for me to choose a board right now.

You could always go with something like this. Dunno what to say about the PCI slots though.

ok well that would be an option. but just out of curiosity how do ya set it up to read the usb rather than com port. I have programs I use that specifically direct themselvs to com1 or com2 and thats their only selection. This is for a progammer which I use all the time.

Read the reviews and see what people say. Maybe it installs as com1, I have no idea.
