So after I saw the Pink Floyd laser show at the planetarium near me (prolly the most kick *** thing I have ever seen
) I was talking to the guy who ran all of the hardware and this stuff is nuts!!! I'm talking 8 machines with FX4xxx cards rendering - in real time - 8000x4420 resolution

Ten minutes of the cg videos they run (pre-rendered) come to a total of 600GB!

I never knew the planetarium was so intense

I utterly love the Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin laser shows. My buddies and I would umm...well get enlightened and go to downtown Houston and watch when they would bounce it off one of the buildings downtown. Sweet as hell. Definately something I would highly recommend to anyone.

EDIT: Wow two uses of utterly in two consecutive threads..coincidence?
