Hey guys.. Well I'm making a server soon, and I need a good CPU. Opties are nice but expensive, xeon's even more so. What is a good budget CPU for running a server? Possibly a CS:S server at times. I want it to be able to handle atleast 10-16 people with no lag at 100 tick. And for just a simple file server would a 1.8 ghz P4 be sufficient? I am at a crossroad..Point me in the right direction

Also, I didn't post this in the amd or intel forums because then I'd most likely get biased answers.

What might be your budget? Because you want a powerful enough CPU for doing 10-16 people, and a good Internet connection. 1.8 P4, IMO, won't cut it.
