What sorta connection would you need for a Dedicated Web Server?
Well, as stated, it depends on what you are trying to do. If you dont need alot of bandwidth, then your home connection is fine unless otherwise stated by your ISP. Most small business's use like a T1 or something like that. They are far from super fast however give deidicated bandwidth, and a decent upload speed. 1.54MB/s. Now if you need a ton of bandwidth you are going to want something faster than a T1, besides a T1 is pretty expensive. For the most part unless you are OCN lol you would be good with 1.54-5MB/s. Just depends on how deep your pockets are.
Also depends on how many things you are using on your home service. I have vonage, mp3 server, ftp server, and several computers. It wouldn't be a good idea for me.
