Seems about right since your that far out
Great setup your gonna have fun with it. Awesome board, best p45 board imho. Ive had very good luck with mine and so have many others.

Make sure you get acquainted with this thread http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...ers-guide.html
I really was considered going AMD for the build, but I just love Intel and I trust them. And I'm half ******ed when it comes to AMD.

xD. I have that board for my system. I love it. This thing OCs like no other motherboard out there. It's simple, gets the job done, and it's reliable. If only there was something equivalent for i7, I would be going i7 in a heart beat.

I was thinking of upgrading my build for something totally new maybe i7 or even amd but the more I think about it I may just add a better cpu to my current setup.

I was thinking of going dual core 45nm. I got 600fsb with auto settings except fsb, multi, vcore, and mch core when I first fired up this rig with a CO 8400. There is still fun to have with this board.
I'm sure your computer would like a nice little upgrade to Q9550/Q9650. You'll see a pretty decent increase in performance. But you could always go i7 or get the new i7 870//860 or wait for the i9. Getting an i7 920 right now is just silly.

Nice. I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

As am I. I hope none of these are DOA. I don't wanna go through RMA.
Bump - Common, share some love!
A solid budget build that looks pretty clean with the cable management.

The video showed off the shiny megahalem pretty nicely although the [Pre-Build] and [Post-Build] tags for the video are backwards.

you obviously havn't seen ANY asus X58 boards if you think that theres no i7 equivalent (if your talking about overclocking) the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 overclocks like a beast - if i where you i would get the i7 920 D0, 6GB 1600/2000MHz ram, and the motherboard i got for an upgrade when you get the money.

the G.Skill PI ram i got overclocks really good aswell!

btw pretty good looking build for your friend there, but ive got to disagree with the antec case, their cases have just been getting worse, their to common and frankly the coolermaster CM 690 looks much better (ive got a black edition PURE one for my spare computer which has a GTX 260+ in it, also a great product)

Yeah, but I didn't want anything too big, or fancy. Trying to cut down on the money useage. I'm sure he's happy with an Antec 902. I would of gone Cooler Master, but meh, couldn't find anything less then or equal to 100ish.

Doesn't the UD3P usually have one blue pci-e slot and one orange one?
