That's a neat idea for folks that have a lot of carts still hanging around. I've moved on to emulators for the games that I really miss... and dl'd some on the wii.

The Blaze Sega Genesis/Mega Drive is available in the UK now, priced at £38 ($53). No word on whether it’ll be making an official leap over to the US. |

They obtained rights for roms included on the portable version. Given that, it's reasonable to assume Sega has given them rights/permission to produce the hardware for this larger version.

Say you have a stack of games around that you bought from sega years ago at $50 a pop.. but your genesis is on the fritz?
I can't find any information on the company selling this, but I can't imagine that the people that own the rights to Sonic and some of the other sega namesakes would allow this without consent.
