Because we do not own OC.net, please refrain from using "OC.net" as a short form for Overclock.net. I am sure many people have and will accidentally type in OC.net. Right now there is nothing at that domain. But who knows in the future...

Some suggested new short forms for the site (that we own):

ocing.net (we own overclocking.net too)
ocforum.net
ocing.com (we don't own overclocking.com though

)

I have tried to negotiate but the price is much too steep. I will not divulge the price but I'll put it this way, you could buy at least one new car with the money.

Domain names are like virtual real estate. Our own forum related names are worth a small fortune themselves

I see what admin means, the ownere company doesn't look liek one who is willing to play for small chips.

Also I know I am guilty of using it often, have you guys setup a replace query to clean all of the posts that say if incorrectly, or could you setup a code that will automatically raplace the incorrect name when we post to alleviate future problems?

All we need is for someone to code for the smiley code to point to a modified version of http://www.overclock.net/images/overclock-1flame.gif that is not so long and has transparency, most likely Admin already has the gif.

I'd say that the main overclock.net logo (flame+text) but smaller would be pretty good.
