I would just get a monitor that had display port built in. I think you can find a dell one for less than 200 bucks, so it should be less expensive.
Should I buy another Acer X223W monitor for $99?
I have an X223w and X213H right now, I have an opportunity to buy another X223w for $99 and possibly do a crossfire setup if I purchased the active display port cable, or I can just buy a different monitor that has active display for around $150-$200 ...
From what I can tell active display cables are around ~$100 so either way it should come out being the same price? Opinions?
