my friend is looking at these two processors. what are your peoples oppinions?<br />

If you do get the FX, get the San Diego core, it is much better.<br />
<br />
I would suggest w/e you do decide, wait to buy it. AMD prices are going to be dropping soon after this month.

The X2 will "PWN" the FX-whatever. I got my X2 4200 to 2.98 stable. It will outperform the FX in just about everything, including gaming.

i just got my amdx2 4200+ 1week ago, i will trade u my x2 for ur FX-55. hehe<br>
cuz dualcore useless for me cuz i use my pc to play game only.

No it isnt worthless, games releasing these days usually use both cores.

Please prove me wrong, so I have a reason to get a dual core and not a FX like I am planning. I know the obvious, but my comp is gaming only, not multi-tasker.
