Should I buy it? (used 4870 512mb)

I can pick up a Visiontek 4870 512mb for $200. Owner says it's only been used for a couple of months and it comes in it's original packaging.

I figure that even with the recently announced price cut a new 4870 will still be around $200 new, and then there is taxes and shipping.

I just sent the seller an email asking if it's been registered. There is a fair chance it isn't since from what I've seen its the same 4870 512 that Futureshop was selling for $330 a few months ago.

Should I go for it?

After this I plan on getting a P45 board with the money I get from selling my 9800, and then eventually going CF likely with a 4850, since its cheaper.

Did you see this in the online deals thread? $200 seems way too high when you can get one for $50 less

$150 USD = $193 CAD in a pure conversion. Cheapest we will see a reference 4870 will be $195.

$195 + $5 EHF = 200 + 12% (tax rate) = $224 + $15 shipping = $239 shipped.

alex's 4870 would have cost me about the same, with the currency conversion, and then I would have to trust the shipper not to break it in transit. I thought about it, but the 4870 was v-modded and under water, this one is mint condition, and its VisionTek, not HIS.
