I have a spare Asus Rampage Formula, Q9550 (Vid 1.12) and Zalman CNPS10X.

Now I was wondering should I buy a
-PSU $100
-G. Skill Ripjaws DDR2 1200
-5770 (Will Crossfire later)

Total will cost $357 shipped

I will put it on my Test Bench and buy a case later. Most likely Cooler Master Storm Scout.

Well should I do it? I have $1155 In my bank right now. I would hook it up to a 1080P 120Hz Samsung 40" LCD.

Or should I just sell the Asus Rampage Formula, Q9550 (Vid 1.12) and Zalman CNPS10x?

I think you should just sell the extras and save for future upgrades. =)

Well, it would be fun to game on a 40" TV, if you think you can spare the cash, go for it.

Keep whichever 9550 has the better VID and sell the rest

but why the expensive ripjaws?!

They are $15 more than the DDR2 1066 and they are already at DDR2 1200 (The max the Rampage takes)

It would be a cool machine to run to your home theater if you're interested in gaming on the big screen, or use a a secondary gaming rig if you have other gamers over. Otherwise it's kind of overkill for a home server or HTPC.

Sell and get something useful.
