Should I take the plunge and get a SSD? I hear they are uber fast.

Price is no object btw

sure, if price is no object. i would upgrade space first though. You have a very nice rig with only 20gb of HD space....get a 1tb drive first, then a SSD. just my opinion.
20GB? Where is that coming from?
Anyway if you value speed go for it.
I would rather get two drives and Raid0 them, but that's just me.
How much faster are SSDs compared to say... 250GB Seagate Barracuda? 7200RPM

Its fast, indeed, and small. Worth the price? Not so sure. If price isnt an option, what are you waiting for?

Get two of them and RAID0.. the speed you will see......... I wish I had cash

depends on the cache of the seagate, but I would imagine that three of those drives in RAID 0 would be equal to two SSDs in same config.

I heard on Vista that the SSD drives have a fair amount of issues, like super catch and defragmenting automatically......there was something else but cant remember off the top of my head.

But really, once you get the issues worked out I heard they are pretty dang fast

Edit: For my motherboards hardware raid0 I get around 135-145mb/s read speed(same HDD as yours).

Horse Dung. LOLZOZLZOLLZ!!!
Question:

Can I use my SSD and a Seagate baracudda in raid0 and still have the same speed? Or will the regular HHD slow it down or not work at all?
