Should I go to frys for the 965 deal?

I have 10 minutes to decide to leave my house:

building a new rig

so far i have:
XFX 5770 (will buy one more in a month)
modxstream 700w psu

Frys is selling a AMD 965 x4 + a $80 lame mobo for $140 (after $15mir)

now.. if its not the c3 stepping 125 one (and instead the 140 c2).. is this still worth getting?

i know the c2 stepping doesnt run as cool, and doesnt oc as ez as the c3

so what do you guys recommend? if i get the deal i will sell the mobo anyways, but should I just spend 45 bucks more and get a c3 stepping one on newegg?

or should i rush out and be the first at frys?

i also need an optical drive, memory, and case..but they didnt have anything in their ads, so does this mean they most likely wont have sales on these items?

i am new to OCn, but i really wnt to learn how.. so i know the c3 will be beneficial, but yeah.. i really need someone to sway me in the right direction

The C2 965 can clock to about 3.8-3.9ghz, the C3 can hit 4ghz. If it's $140 for mobo and CPU I would say go for it. It's a huge improvement from your your P4.

if i buy a HAF storm scout, 932/22..do you think i should pick up some antec tricome 120mm fans to replace the stock ones? and if yes, how many?

i am making a list of am3 mobos and newegg prices, because i no longer have an iphone <and cant compare prices online>

so hopefully i can score a mobo there, a case, optical drive, and i wont buy memory >< i think

ok i am going to frys, how many tricome antec 120mm fans should i buy?

im thinkin about buying a storm scout cooler master case

how many to replace the 120mm fans included in it?

Forget about the other stuff! Just go! I saw your other thread and i know why you are having a problem deciding... heh,heh... so just go.. You can sell that motherboard for anything and make it an even better deal! Your mission: Get the 965 and get out! Go! Go! Go!

I brought 3 120mm fans front,back and then mounted one in the bay area,The 140mm fan dosen't move that much air.And that's a good deal go get it.

I am not sure that you get a rebate for every fan you buy or if it is limited to just one rebate per household.

oh well, i didn't leave my house to go to frys.. instead i went to costco and got my mom a kickass GPS system

looks like im buying a 125w 965

and another XFX 5770.. or ill just buy my monitor sooner

So.... did you get it?
It's a great deal - I just went from a P4 to a (C2) 965 lately and so far the experience is excellent - the C2 can still OC [I'm at 3.8ghz right now and could go further]
