Im currently building a new rig and i was going to use parts from my old AMD system, i was going to buy this http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=136805&action=wish_lists
but im wondering if im going to spend that kind of money i may as well just go with Intel and not have to worry about bottle necking and such
(my current cpu is an amd fx 8350)

My question is should i stick with this or buy a different board and a brand new cpu id like to keep the mobo rog branded or at least black and red themed
my over all budget is $5500 but as you can see iv put a dent in it so far

5500!? Damn that is so overkill. With a budget anywhere remotely close to that you should have a 3930k/x or whatever the highest intel is in there

You havnt listed your purposes so i cant give a recommendation. If its mostly gaming i can give good recommendations. But as far as x79 chipset and watercooling goes i dont have good knowledge there.

But in any case i cant ever imagine needing 5.5k for a PC unless its some kind of workstation with firegl gpus for prerendering CGI or something lol. 2 grand will build a beastly rig.
