The man is speaking the truth...670 SLI (using reference models) is about 10% slower than a stock 690.
It's just minor factor that comes into play when gaming @ 1600p or larger displays or triple 1080p

OP, it's up to you to decide if you need to upgrade. Are you getting the performance you want? If so, then don't waste your cash. If not, then yea upgrade if you want to.
