I have had my E6300 for years now....I have to admit. I really do love it. it glides along at 3.6ghz and combined with my 8800gt it gives me great frame rates. However...it's starting to show its age on some of the newer games. I have the money but there are other things besides PC parts I could buy too hah, or even a nice headset or a replacement windows for my Antec 900 (I broke it )

So I'm going to make a poll and ask what you guys would do. My 3DMark06 scores are right around 14000 and I game at 1680x1050.

EDIT: I will not go i7. it's too expensive and if I wanted a good quad I would go Phenom II

It is holding you back, you could be hitting upwards of 18K with a better CPU. But I'm sure your gaming performance isn't crap and that is what matters, you could certainly hold out another year and change then. You can hold back and choose your upgrade on your terms.
