I was reading a thread on here and as everyone has noticed there has been alot of complaining about whether Crysis 2 visually has been up to par. One person said that if you put crysis and crysis 2 side by side that you would see that crysis 2 was obviously much better looking then the first crysis so this is what I did. There are going to be MANY screenshots so you don't have to look at every single one of them. But I am trying my best to compare the two(vertically), and yes I am using a modded version of the first Crysis. Crysis 2 is put on hardcore settings.

I am sure that I will be flamed and criticized but I was also very excited about Crysis 2. I wanted crysis 2 to blow away the first one, I wanted it to be epic in both gameplay and visually. But I am sorry to say that it just wasn't impressive, the graphics are terrible and dx11 is not going to change that. People that say this is just a demo look when the release is... very soon you think they have time to change how the game looks in just a few weeks? I work with programs like maya and have experience in java, you can't just change things like that in a few weeks. This is the way the game looks end of story. The textures are low res, the lighting sucks, and it is dull and boring with poor detail. Anyone who says crysis 2 looks better is just in denial. Just because crytek says it is going to look better doesn't mean it is, they want you to believe that so you will buy the game so they make money.

Definitely agreed. What I do hope for is advanced settings when the game comes out instead of just "hardcore". Hopefully people will mod the game to look better. I am very disappointed with the graphics, but there's still hope for modders! Just think to yourself this is just the WORST crysis 2 can look and it can only get better from here.
Most likely would be a good idea to get stock Crysis screenshots to match them up with stock Crysis 2 Demo. I would if I had a Crysis CD laying around.

IMO, crysis 1 looks much better even if its dx9, it wont matter because crysis 2 cant get any better with dx11. Same with dirt 2, I notice..... no difference between dx9 and dx11

Wont matter because the game is due to be release in a few weeks and it cant get that much better, especially with dx11.
Gameplay wise, it was kinda... boring after a while.
Yeah.. Dirt 2 difference between DX9 and DX11 is ZERO! Only thing that changes is the window on your card and some of the sand (or was it just the window) hahaha
oh.... and the fact that DX9 gives you 12093812312 more FPS

Great comparison, You compared a mutliplayer DEMO, to the Single Player campagin. The original mutliplayer looked horrible compares to the single player in the first place.
That's what I'm trying to tell these people. You guys need to at least wait till the game comes out, and the SP!
