I have run into this before, but it never really bothered me because I didn't need what vista lost or changed.

But the other day I accidentally deleted the icon I had made, to the little snipping tool that comes with vista. I searched, and windows can't find "Snipping Tool" or even "snip" on my computer anywhere. And it's not where it is by default, which is Start>All Programs>Accessories. At least I think that is where it is supposed to be. Right?

Anyway, for some reason, once I make an icon from there, windows magically loses whatever it was that I made an icon to. This is just the first time I have cared. Anyone happen to know where I can find the snipping tool again?

It's a system32 file in Windows 7.

Full path should be:
Quote:

%windir%\\system32\\SnippingTool.exe

If it's not there, it may have been accidentally deleted/removed.

Control Panel > Programs and Features > Left side of the screen click "Windows and Features" and check mark Tablet PC Components.

I've done this before accidentally also

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

But wait... I'm afraid I was unable to produce any results this way. Perhaps there is somewhere I can just download it.
