I'm in the market for a new PSU as I'm upgrading my computer very soon, so I took a look at Silverstone, mainly because I'd try to do something which isn't purely mainstream (OCZ, Antec, FSP, etc.).

Do you guys know how the Silverstone PSUs is? If they aren't recommend something else, but I guess I'm not going to die by buying an OCZ (I actually was about to write OCN ) or such.

Silverstone *does* belong in the list of reputable and reliable brands....

Remember CyberDruid's Crunch project? He has two SILVERSTONE SST-ST56ZF'sto power four motherboards and Pentium D805's (folding, so no real high end video cards).

Personally, I would put them at the same level as FSP, slighly above Antec, and OCZ (Except of course GameXStream, which is built by FSP...)

How much are you planning to spend?

Well, almost infinite, but within resonable limits

I realize you're in Denmark, but look for this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256006

And what do you plan to hang on it

Namrac: that one is a beast!

If you don't need that much power, pick the ST56ZF I linked in my previous post. 560W and a single 12V rail of 38A. Plenty for a mid-range rig.

I just picked a high end one, since the G80 takes a power supply and a half by itself, I though he should be prepared.

You could also look at the PC P&C Silencer 750W.

nVidia's recommendation for an 8800GTX is 450W (800W in SLI).

I've seen revies that an entire rig with an 8800GTX draws less than 300W under full load. I think the hype about high power draw was a bit over the top, esp. single card use.

Antec, Enermax, Seasonic, Silverstone, and Tagan are the only ones I would trust.
