What are your ambient temps? Because with my GPU at 70-85% activity (folding), and my fan manually set at 42%, my gpu sits perfectly at 62c. If I leave the fan to be automatically controlled, it goes into the 70s, and the fan sits at about 30%. My ambient temperature is 70F.

My card is getting to low 70's when gaming. This is not in crossfire mode, not sure what crossfire is going to do to my temps. Also bottom fans on high, card fans on auto.

Keyboard arriving Tuesday, new PSU arriving Wednesday, sata-3 2tb drive on the way too.

sexy build my friend. I'm looking to maybe go intel in 6 months or so, depending on the dozer. I want another 6970 just like yours too. The one I have now is xfx reference as well and I love it. keep us posted.

Hey thanks, i just enabled crossfire last night, but i dont have any games to push it! No access to crysis, and my steam account wont let me work offline to play the games i already downloaded, i dont have internet connection right now. I need to get my hands on a crysis disc. Stomps Dungeon Seige III maxed out @ 1900x1200 res, 16xaa, v-sync off = ~120 frames

I also have my hard drive raid-5 read/write benchmarks. I have them at stock 3.3ghz, i will re-run when i overclock as well.

Quick update, attempted to overclock my cpu yesterday with my 750w PSU. What i found is my board (Fatal1ty P67 Pro) has a common BIOS bug, i set the multiplier, save settings, restart, check my CPUZ, and its still at 3.3ghz. I am going to reflash the bios tonight and will attempt to overclock again.

Also, my new 950 watt PSU came in today, time to do a swap and cable management.

Alright, did the 'Instant Flash' of the bios, updated it to v2.0. Fixed the overclock bug, and went really smooth. I am always a bit uncomfortable when flashing bios but this worked great, downloaded .rar off website, unzipped to my flash drive, and the PC detected it right away.

Also installed my new 950w PSU, its nice that it has a large top fan, will help move some more air. The silencer 750 i had did not have a top fan at all.

Final pics and overclocking results are up.
More to come in the next couple days.

I only have a PCI-E 1x slot available.

And thanks for the sleeving comments, i love the look of the carbon fiber sleeving. I totally forgot to take a pic of a little braid i did between the 4 pin and the cpu pwm fan cable, ill take it tonight and upload in the morning.

rep on the great thread and build
Starting with Vista, MS allowed for multiple different drivers for video cards

This allows other cards to be used for other monitors, or other instances where they work separately, but they dont render together.

Updated with new headphones.
Tomorrow will be testing day for audio setups.
HD 202 vs HD 595
Onboard vs X-Fi Titanium vs X-Fi Titanium HD
I will be comparing the audio from Music, Movies, and Games.
Any special requests, post here.

Lol, compared to the rest, yeah def, i just have it there to stimulate air towards the hard drives. I am not really concerned about the airflow provided by that fan, but it was something fun to do while i waited for parts to arrive.

Haa, bring it over.
But seriously, im not going to be comparing the non-HD vs the HD, the drivers are a b17ch to work with. Took me a good 30 mins to get the HD version to work with the creative console.

Comparing onboard is much more drastic, full write up this weekend.

Added pics of cans, sound cards to the beginning of post 2.
