How can i know if my SSD is Dying? Yesterday everything was cool. Today when i try to start my computer, it tels me that,
there is no MBR(masterboot record). I went to BIOS and i see that BIOS does not see, my first drive(wich is the SSD). So i reconnected everything, tryed again, it did not work. Then I used the Windows 7 disk to recover the MBR. After 2 resets it was working again(I am using it right now). But is there something(programm) wich can tell me if my SSD is F**ked. It sonly 3months old.

You can eventually try HDTune and check if it says "ok" next to each parameters. BUT, BACKUP your data right now. I had a Patriot SSD die on me before, and they usually don't warn you when they are about to die, they don't click, they don't do anything; you shutdown your computer only to be unable to boot from your SSD ever again.

Thanks for the reply. I just did a complete back up. Shame that all my savegames will be gone
. BY the way. If I buy another hard drive.
Can i still reactivate windows, or there will be problems?

You'll be fine reactivating Windows, since it's the same computer, same hardware etc. Your savegames won't be gone though, if you do a full system backup, everything remains. I suggest that you use the built-in Windows backup feature, it works very well. Also you can manually backup your save games, they are often located in "My Documents", or yourname\\appdata\\, "saved games" etc. It's impossible not to be able to find game saves, however some games are a real nightmare for restoring them, such as GTA IV. Feel free to PM me the day you get your new drive if you need help on restoring your Windows installation, game saves etc.
if its retail you will have no problems, if its OEM, you will have to call microsoft

Exactly, i was talking about the GTA 4. Last time i did try to restore the savegames, I could not. I had all the save games(the complete folder) but no sence. So looks like i have to spend about 2 night in a row to catch up with my self
. Ayway thanks

Yeah it's complicated, you have to backup two folders, one in "my documents" and one somewhere else, then you have to rename one of the game saves folder to part of an XLive's folder name, it's really annoying!

Capwn, looks like a neat program! However does it work well with GTA IV, considering how unintuitive the game saves are managed with this game.

My SSD shows that message also sometimes, mainly after a crash or forced reboot. My SSD also goes missing from BIOS too. I think in my case with the OCZ drive, having AHCI enabled over IDE in BIOS doesn't help. All I do when it happens though is re-load my saved BIOS profile and all works well again. Lowering a high overclock seems to help to however my MBR error occurs so infrequently I just keep my OC were it is

Well to be sure Im testing it now. Ill report back when its done installing. But it backed up the save just fine so It should be a seemless restore.
Yup as I thought it worked great. When I backed it up Game save manager backed up the GTA 4 saves, My GFWL files and Rockstar social club files perfectly. So in order, I revoked my liceance , backed up with game save manager, uninstalled, reinstalled, started game and saved to create a save file, closed gta 4 , Restored with game save manager, restarted game to find it where I left off at 48% completed!!! done and done.
