Since I have my rig dual booting Ubuntu 10.10 for folding bigadv and I do enjoy playing games every now and then. I was wondering if I should set up my windows install to fold with smp-6 and one of my GPUs while I play a game and have it finish those before I reboot into linux for the bidadv.

I usually only play for about 3-4 hours at a time when I do so I *should* be able to have it finish whatever I have it start by the time I am done gaming.

To put it simply. Fold while I am gaming windows side and let those finish or just fold under linux with bigadv?

I would say Fold SMP while gaming, if it doesn't decrease performance. However, do you want to be left waiting an hour or so for a WU to finish before switching over? If not, perhaps GPU only when gaming would be simpler.

The performance hit shouldn't be that noticeable. So I guess it will come down to ow long it will take a WU to finish up.

Thanks.
