Uncheck all but the image you want as the background and it will disable the shuffle timer.
Simple Win7 Desktop question
I like Windows 7 so far; it's pretty nifty, and seems to be an improvement over Vista in several respects.
There's one thing that I just can't figure out though. How do I make my desktop wallpaper image stay put? I've been messing around with the settings to no avail; my desktop images revert to a solid black screen after a few minutes.
How do I stop my desktop from shifting? It's not shuffling from image to image; it's going straight from image->solid black screen.

- Right-click on the Taskbar.
- Uncheck "Lock the taskbar".
- Choose Toolbars > New toolbar...
- Copy paste the following into the dialog box that appears: %userprofile%\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Intern et Explorer\\Quick Launch
- Press Enter, or click OK.
- To get rid of the text labels for the icons, right-click where it says "Quick Launch" and uncheck "Show Text".
- To get rid of the title, right-click on it and uncheck "Show title".
- Click & drag it to where you want it, and then lock the Taskbar.

I've just spent the better part of 20 minutes messing around with the settings. I didn't even know that Windows 7 gave users so many customization options. Great advice.
There are still some things about the taskbar that are annoying me; I'll get back to you once I finalize what exactly they are.
